Buffalo Ridge Trail Public Input
Where: Garfield Township Hall, 3838 Veterans Drive, Traverse City
When: Monday, June 24th at 6 pm
What: Traverse Area Recreation and Transportation Trails, in partnership with Garfield Township, invites the community to a public input meeting for the proposed second phase of the Buffalo Ridge Trail. The meeting will be held on Monday, June 24th, at 6pm at the Garfield Township Hall, 3838 Veterans Drive.
In November of 2011 the first phase of the Buffalo Ridge Trail opened, connecting the Commons to West Middle School. TART Trails and Garfield Township are launching the second phase which will connect the school to the new YMCA off Silver Lake Road. The trail will link into a new system of trails in Garfield Township that provides access to residential neighborhoods, schools, parks and office/retail centers.
TART Trails raised funds for and is facilitating the preliminary trail design, which has been contracted to Wade Trim, a local design and engineering firm. The input meeting is an opportunity for the public to share their ideas, opportunities and concerns. Representatives from TART, Garfield Township, and Wade Trim will be on hand to share the preliminary design concepts and listen to feedback.
