Taste The Local Difference

Taste the Local Difference

Taste the Local Difference is in full swing!

The guide is now made up of six individual maps representing specific geographic areas of northwest Lower Michigan. Each map contains helpful information on how to find local food on farms, in restaurants, at retailers, at vineyards, at breweries, and more.

You can also search online using our website, or download our new iPhone or Android smartphone apps.

This year, check out our a new TLD apps for your smartphone.

The app uses the latest in GPS technology to guide you directly to the local farm, retailer, or restaurant you're looking for. You can search by farm, by food, or by your location. You can even use your phone's navigation app to get turn-by-turn directions.

The TLD App is available for:

► iPhone and iPad (via iTunes)

Android devices (via Google Play)

TLD is now made up of six county-based maps, making it even easier for you to find the food you love.

The six individual Food & Farm Guides covers the entire northwest Michigan region—from Manistee to Mackinaw City and beyond.

Map-based guides are available for:

Leelanau County

Grand Traverse County

Emmet/Charlevoix counties

Benzie/Manistee counties

You can also have a guide sent to your door by emailing guide@localdifference.org

You can also search for local food, farms, retailers and wineries online at localdifference.org.

The desktop version of the guide includes detailed information for each farm listing, and a map view that makes finding local farms and retailers easy.
