The Michigan Land Use Institute released a new report Thursday showing that a comprehensive energy efficiency program in Traverse City will produce nearly 100 jobs and return millions of dollars annually into the local economy.
Entitled Energy Efficiency and Economic Opportunity in Grand Traverse County, the study estimates the costs, capital requirements, job-creating ability, and utility bill savings of an aggressive, locally financed program. It was released on June 14 at a community leadership breakfast and summit hosted by MLUI at the Hagerty Center, in Traverse City. To read the full report, click on the image below:
